This pendant is 3/4s of an inch in size. It is based on an existing original which is Byzantine Greek, and most likely from the 7-8th century. Saint Michael is the Archangel who, in scripture, leads the army of God against the forces of evil. He was also said to be a healing angel, and the patron of warriors.
